With all the volatility in the stock market this past week, I'm tempted to pull our money and just put it in the bank.
Wait. No. The banks are failing. Um, let's see.
Maybe we should just cash out and hide $20 bills throughout the house. Diamond's grandma hid $20 bills between each piece of her china during the Great Depression.
(It was a major score for my mother-in-law who inherited the family china!)
Wait. Didn't I just hear that the government is printing more cash, which means inflation? Well, that idea doesn't seem particularly secure either.
Anyone have any better ideas?

Brandon and I took most of our savings and the money we were putting into stocks and 401K's and bought another house while the prices are so low now because of the economy. His Mom just got married and her and her new husband pay the mortgage as rent.
I will tell you in 30 years if this was a good solution or not!!!
PS... GUESS WHAT!! I really DID have chocolate chip cookies for lunch the other day!!! AND I THOUGHT OF YOU THE WHOLE DELICIOUS TIME!!!!

I'm for the cash thing. We are trying to get completely out of debt, so that if it all fails we are still good. I think I'm really close to the whole stuffed mattress thing.

And, as for how to handle the economic crisis...well, I got nothing.
I suggest investing it all in shoes. And not the type we usually wear... Carrie Bradshaw shoes. Seems like a safer place to keep your money these days!

I guess either gold or prayer.
