Oh the Weather Outside is Frightful!

Every Sunday we have dinner at Nanna and Grandpa's house. It's one of my favorite parts of the week; great food, lively conversation, etc. However, tonight, just as we were about to sit down and eat, my sister bursts through the door yelling "THERE'S A TORNADO OUTSIDE!!! GET IN THE BASEMENT!!!" So naturally, I grab my camera and head outside to see this:

Anxious to figure out what was going on, we turned on the news and found out that while the tornado posed no threat to my parents home, it was circling dangerously close to OUR home! (This the part where I have to talk Diamond out of jumping in the car to go check on our house.)
The house in this picture is only about 10 doors down from our house. I guess Diamond was right to be a bit nervous! (We found this picture posted on a local news site.)
We were able to make some calls to find out that our home was still standing and finally started to eat dinner. That's when we started hearing hail pelting the roof.

So we all jumped up to go see the latest bizarre weather. All of us except my Dad. I did mention that my mom is a great cook right? At least Dad got to eat it warm!!!

It was only a matter of time before "weird weather" became a category for my posts! I do live in Colorado after all!

Glad to hear you are ok. I was out and about during this timeframe and was certain that I heard "the sound" they talk about as I was walking into Chipotles (our Sunday dinner) but I looked to the sky and it was clear over in our area.

You, my friend? Have truly crossed over to the Blog Addict side...taking time to photo the weather and your dad's desire to clean his plate for the blog (unless you are also this caught up on your scrapbooking? Yeah...didn't think so)

I heard about those tornadoes yesterday! I'm glad you're OK.

Hey I have a little bloggy bling for you on my blog!

Even with tornadoes, I want to come home!!!!

So I have to go back to the last post. So google reader is one of the tabs on my gmail page. I have all my blogs I read stored in there, so google will inform me everytime someone does a new post. Then I don't have to click everyday and I am always one of the first who gets to comment

Google "looks" at the blogs without downloading them and so there is not download info for a tracker program to track.

I have been so paranoid about believing "them" on this that my SIL and I even tried. I clicked on her blog at scheduled times and she would check her tracker!

NOW! So you know, it does however say how many lurkers you have! FYI, you have 7.

Now one of those 7 is me, and then you can minus all your friends and family who have a gmail address.

Maybe one is Missionary man! Maybe he has his whole laptop under his pillow with your blog as his screen wallpaper!!!

Oh and Martha, I know I don't know you, but you can't mention Chipotle to people who moved out of Colorado and HUNGER to go back for the food that Utah just doesn't have!!!!

JK

We did take a cooler and drive to Vegas once and stock up!!!!!

Totally not kidding on that one!!!

I am so out there taking pictures with you! What are we STUPID or something? What a great post!

Fox- does my blog update on your reader? My rss feed on the right of my blog doesn't update private blogs but I was wondering if it does with the reader. I'm tempted to can the private thing but then paranoia hits especially with the stories the embassy tells us...argh.

Garity,

NOPE! You have the only blog I have to click on to see. In fact if I am logged into gmail, your blog will not let me log in because I am registered with you through my mac account.

I have wondered if the whole embassy stuff is why you are private... yah... I am kinda with you on being private!

BTW... Am I STUPID too? I might also have all our tornadoes tapped!!!
