Success!

My plan actually WORKED!

Today I was surprised to find a comment on my last post from a very dear, old friend Danae. I have know Danae since she was a young teenager and was lucky enough to be one of her youth leaders in church. Now she's all grown up, married and has three little kids of her own.

Here's her entry: "I googled you today and you would be happy to know that this site is the first thing that came up! "

HOORAY!!! When she searched Ganelle Smith, there was no BYU Alumni magazine! No awful picture in a sweater vest! No cheesy update about quitting teaching to stay home with my boys! Finally there is something on the net that is more flattering than the remnants of a practical joke from Vern! VICTORY! Someone was wondering what I was up to and found me, HERE!

I knew this whole blogging business would pay off eventually!

Suggestions?

I think I need to rename my blog.

Technically, I'm not from New York anymore. While I was born and raised in NY - and still identify myself as a New Yorker, I haven't actually lived there for close to twenty years. The title of this blog seems to infer that I am some young, swingin' single living in NYC. Could I be further from that if I tried? I'm in my 30s, live in Colorado, and stay at home with my three boys.

OK, so I definitely need a new name for my blog.

Here are some ideas I had:
-Welcome to My World
-My Three Sons (although my blog is about more than my boys)
-4 Boys & Me
-Colorado Connection
-Suburban Stories

If you've got something better, I'd love to hear it!

OK, so now I'm just fiddling (go figure where #1 gets it from!)

I just wanted to try and upload a picture. If this works, maybe I can start uploading pictures of Zach Efron or Richard Greer...

What's all this about blogging anyway?

It seems that the thing to do nowadays is to have a blog. Well, I'm not exactly sure how all this works, but I thought I would at least try it out. I figure I'll just put something out, and see what happens.
